Dear Valued Registrants,
We have closely been following the status of the COVID-19 pandemic, and due to the rapidly increasing number of cases of the Omicron variant, particularly in the host state of Florida, we have made the necessary decision to cancel the 2022 Tourniquetting Transfusion Conference.
Please note the following important points for registered attendees:
- Registration fees for registered attendees will be refunded in the next 3-5 business days.
- Hotel reservations made within the room block at the Orlando World Center Marriott will be automatically canceled.
- FAQ’s, past and additional updates will be posted and archived to https://pbm.cme.ufl.edu/Covid19
Our number one priority is to protect and maintain the health of our attendees, providers, and patients. We hope to have the opportunity to come together in the future.

Why is the Tourniquetting Transfusion Conference canceled?
In looking at the recent statistics of the cases of the Omicron variant, particularly in the state of Florida, we have made the necessary decision to cancel the Tourniquetting Transfusion Conference.
Will the Tourniquetting Transfusion Conference be postponed until a later date or rescheduled?
The conference will not be rescheduled for 2022 in-person at this time. Any information about potential future events will be posted to this website (http://pbm.cme.ufl.edu/).
Will attendees and exhibitors be refunded for hotel costs?
Attendees who booked with a hotel in the official block will have their reservation automatically canceled by the Orlando World Center Marriott. Attendees who did not book with a hotel in the official block must contact their hotel/lodging directly to cancel reservations. The conference will not refund hotel costs.
Will attendees and exhibitors be refunded for airline tickets?
No. The conference will not refund individual airline ticket costs. Please contact your airline directly regarding ticket cancellations. If you purchased travel insurance, please contact your provider for information and next steps.
Will paid attendee and exhibitor badge registrations be refunded?
Payments and registrations for both attendees and exhibitors will be automatically refunded. Please keep in mind that refunds to payment methods can take up to 5-7 business days to appear on your card statement.
Will any sessions be made available virtually?
As of right now, the sessions will not be made available virtually. Any changes to this will be communicated to registrants via email and posted online.
